This model is a collaboration with Faïencerie de Gien. The tulip motif has been a recurring theme in the company's iconography since the late 19th century. It refers to the official flower of Louis XIV. It was at this time that the popularity of tulips spread throughout much of Europe. The bulbs of these prestigious flowers were sold at a premium, making them a luxury.______________________________________________
