You have chosen your model and you are ready to place your order, all you need are the measurements. Don't worry, it's easier than you think to take your measurements and all you need is a measuring tape or a rangefinder.

You will need the measurements of your wall, making sure not to include baseboards and moldings. We always recommend adding a minimum of 5 cm of safety margin in height and width (indeed, walls are never perfectly straight!) 

Standard wall, or wall under slope, atypical configuration... discover our explanations in order to calculate the measures of your wallpaper.

SINGLE WALL

If you want to dress your standard wall with a panoramic wallpaper, measure the width and height with your tape measure. Be sure not to count the moldings and baseboards. Then add your safety margins of 5cm in height and width and you will get the dimensions of your decor. 

For example, if my dining room wall is 390 cm wide and 280 cm high, my decor will be 395 cm wide and 285 cm high. 

WALL WITH ELEMENTS

Does your wall have a window or a door? Taking measurements is just as easy!

Measure your height and width including margins and without taking into account the elements that make up your wall. 

For example, if my dining room wall (390 cm wide and 280 cm high) includes a window, my wallpaper measurements will also be 395 cm wide and 285 cm high. 

This greatly facilitates the installation. Indeed, the part corresponding to the obstacle, here the window, will be cut out during the installation of your panoramic decor. 

WALL UNDER SLOPE

You have created a room under the slope and want to give depth to your space? Our panoramic wallpapers will help you decorate your attic room. 

Here's how to calculate the dimensions of your wallpaper: measure your greatest width and your greatest height, as described above. We will print your design as a square or rectangle, so all you have to do is cut out the excess following the slope of your wall.

For example, my dining room wall is still 390 cm wide, but the height on the left is 230 cm while the height on the right is 280 cm. The dimensions of my wallpaper are then 390 cm wide and 280 cm high (the highest height). I would receive a rectangle which would allow me to cut the excess following the slope of my wall. 

WALL WITH SLOPING CEILING

If your ceiling is sloped, you will need to measure the greatest height and width of your wall. You will receive your wallpaper in a square or rectangle shape in order to cut out the part of the wall where the ceiling is slanted. 

For example, my dining room wall is not perfectly straight. It is still 390 cm wide, but the height on the left is 265 cm and the height on the right is 280 cm. The dimensions of my wallpaper are then 390 cm wide and 280 cm high (the highest height). I would receive a rectangle which would allow me to cut the excess following the slope of my wall. 

WALL WITH INWARD OR OUTWARD ANGLE

To calculate the dimensions of your wall décor, measure the width and height of your two (or more) walls. We will add to your dimensions the safety margins in height and width as well as a margin at the corner to proceed with the overlap installation. (read our article on overlap installation). This famous margin at the corner will facilitate the installation of your wallpaper and will allow you to make a perfect connection.

STAIRWELL 

Often visible from several rooms in the house, the staircase can become a real decorative asset. Above all, it must be functional: the space must remain easily accessible and uncluttered. That's why wallpaper will be your best ally to dress up your stairwell! 

You have chosen your model? The intervention of our graphic designers will be necessary to prepare your decor. The chosen model will be reworked to adapt it to the dimensions and configuration of your wall and a proposal will be sent to you by email.

On this sketch, you will need to fill in the different dimensions of the wall to be covered: 

-Total width and total height: imagine a large rectangle that includes the entire wall. 

-width and height of landings (bottom and top) 

-height in the middle of the staircase
